Early Spring Thriftlist

The new year is here and it’s time to transition our wardrobes and homes as we brace through the colder weather and welcome in spring!

Over the holidays, I spent some time over the cleaning out my closet, storing away warm-weather items and donating anything that doesn’t fit any more so I could add a few more pieces to my collection. 💃🏻

After sharing a few outfit boards over on Instagram, one of my besties asked for me to put together some home decor boards. Here are several ideas of things to look for when hitting up your local thrift store or refreshing your home decor for early 2024.

Let me know what your favorite piece is or what theme I should do next!

We’re keeping an eye out for romantic & dainty touches to celebrate Valentine’s Day and transition into spring. You can’t go wrong with reds, pinks, and whites for Valentine’s Day, and lighter greens and blues are great for channeling crisp spring mornings.

⟡ Glassware - Your local thrift store likely has multiple aisles for glassware — some even sort by color or season for easy browsing & comparing!

⟡ Serving Trays - Wicker, stone, silver, wood — there are so many different styles of serving trays to fit your aesthetic. Use them to stay organized or create fun wall art!

⟡ Rattan Anything - My obsession with rattan started with Animal Crossing, it instantly makes your space feel more cozy. Just make sure to take a close look at the condition of real rattan furniture, being made from palm leaves it can begin to weather if not properly treated.

⟡ Figurines - There’s all kinds of tiny figurines & knick-knacks, and I love them all. I’m on the lookout for all-white porcelain to accent with brighter colors & to potentially DIY later.

⟡ Candles - Thrift stores are a great place to find decorative candles, especially after holidays. Keep an eye out for vintage or antique candlesticks as well!

⟡ Lamps & Vases - Lamps & vases are great opportunities for adding height variety and color to your space! Groupings of multiple vases are an easy way to create elegant areas of interest.

⟡ Plants & Flower Arrangements - You can never have too many plants (real or fake) and your local thrift shop is chock full of beautiful arrangements. If you’re lucky, you might even find larger floor plants!

I hope you find some amazing pieces on your next trip, and be sure to show me whatever you find! ♡ ⋆˙⟡♡ ⋆˙⟡♡
